Version 3.5/3.6 provides semi-automated handicapping for handicappers
without access to on-line data, or who prefer a more hands-on
approach.
Handicap both Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses using semi-automated
data entry from the Daily Racing Form or other printed
data source.
Both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse data entry is done with the
minimum possible typing—simply click on distance, surface,
etc. and enter times, finish position, lengths back, and Beyer
Figure (optional).
Both breeds display the results of your handicapping with Speed
Probability, Speed Odds, and "$ to 1" with an odds screen
similar to top-of-the-line Version 5.0
The v3.5 Thoroughbred program allows experimentation with the
Beyer variant! Enter the Beyer figure for each horse's past performance.
The program can then factor out the variant built into the Beyer
Figure and apply percentages of it to the Carroll Figure. You'll
see times when the crowd is being mislead by over-inflated or
under estimated variants in the published "Figs." Carroll
Speed Figures are not a knockoff of any other method and therefore
provide an excellent baseline for comparison.
Carroll Quarter Horse Speed Figures are the best and most
consistent Quarter Horse Figures available anywhere. Period.
